Independent Review into State Pension Age, 30th March, DWP, London

A forward looking independent review of State Pension Age was established by the Government earlier this year under the leadership of John Cridland, former Director of the CBI.

Centre member Professor Peter Nolan was invited to attend the inaugural meeting in March to give evidence. His contribution drew upon his on-going research, funded by the Medical Research Council, into the impact on employment and employment relations in the NHS of recent changes in the State Pension Age and the abolition of the Mandatory Retirement Age. The results of this and subsequent meetings will be published in April 2017.

More information on the project can be found here.
