High Level Data Workshop, 27 January, Brussels

A distinguished gathering of Europe's top demographers and researchers on the ageing workforce will meet in Brussels to examine the available data sources and new data requirements of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) of the EU Joint Programme Initiative, More Years, Better Lives.

Professor Nolan, a co-author of the SRA, will address the Workshop, organised by the Max Plank Institute, on the empirical architecture of new innovative studies of `Economic and Social Production'. His address, inter alia, will touch on two critical questions: the determinants of the shifting boundaries between economic and social production; and the adequacy of existing data sources on work organisations, employer policies, and employment relations as influences on transitions in and out of paid work.

The conclusions of the Workshop will be embraced by a future version of the Strategic Research Agenda of More Years, Better Lives.
