Personal details

Nicolas holds a Master of Arts degree with a major in ethnology and a minor in journalism from Stockholm University, Sweden (1999). He has also studied ethics, social psychology and psychology at Gotland, Halmstad and Stockholm University.

He has a background as a journalist, copywriter, project manager and account director and is currently working as a freelance public relations consultant. He is also the author of thirteen non-fiction books, mainly on communications, psychology and creativity.

Nicolas started studying for his PhD as a part-time student in October 2013.

Supervisors

Research

Nicolas is interested in examining the shared beliefs, values and practices that are created and recreated in family-run companies, colloquially known as “company culture”. In his research project, he will explore this through the stories people tell at work.

Main research interests: Family businesses, small businesses, entrepreneurship, storytelling, narratives, organisational culture, qualitative methods, ethnography.
