I studied for my BA in Political Sciences at Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy). I then completed my MA studies in International Relations at AlmaMater Studiorum University in Bologna (Italy). My MA thesis was entitled “Migration and transnational citizenship. Struggle in the decline of the nation – State”. In 2018 I was awarded my PhD at the University of Leicester School of Business.

My research interests are about migration and the changes occurring in political organisation and subjectivity in the urban environment.
My main research question is: what are the autonomous spatial struggles (in a broad notion comprising tricks of survival, shared knowledge, common living experience and so on) that migrants enact in order to create and re – appropriate a different right to the city?

Therefore I aim to contribute to the field of critical organisation studies by adopting a critical approach in considering how they affect and question bequeathed biases about political subjectivity and organisation, urban struggles and migration by the peculiar angle of migrant experience, using experiences such as counter – mapping not only as a mere research's object but as a methodological standpoint.
