Personal details

I hold a BA in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, India. My growing interest in the Sociology of Work influenced me to pursue a MSc in Human Resource Management at the University of Sheffield in 2014-2015.

In 2017, I began my PhD degree at the University of Leicester. I currently work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Leicester School of Business. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I tutor seminars of undergraduate and postgraduate modules on Organisational Behaviour: MN2104 and MN7401, respectively. In addition, I am currently supervising undergraduate dissertations (MN3200) at the School of Business.

Prior to my PhD, I worked as a Research Assistant in a two-year ethnographic study based in India.

Research

My proposed research focuses on exploring varied narratives, nuances of coworking to bring forth the gap between rhetoric and realities of coworking spaces.

In parallel to this, I am interested in topics related to sociology of work, theories of space, gender and space, gender and work, organisation studies, neoliberal practices of work, ethnographic and other qualitative research methods.
