Chi Kin completed his Bachelor’s degree in marketing at Curtin University of Technology in 2001, and his MBA at the Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2005.  He started his PhD at the University of Leicester in April 2013.

He has extensive work experience in various sales and marketing positions in the electronics industry, working for both local and multinational companies.

He is currently working for The Open University of Hong Kong as the tutor for two undergraduate courses: Asia Pacific Issues in Management and Global Issues in Management.



Chi Kin’s research interests focus on advertising, branding and management issues in Asia Pacific.  For his research study he is investigating the effectiveness of celebrity endorsement, with a focus on the private tutorial schools in Hong Kong where unique marketing strategy and ubiquitous advertising and promotion are found.
