I was a full-time lecturer at the Polytechnic of State Finance STAN, Banten, Indonesia. I served as the Head of the Financial Division and the Head of the Diploma Program of the State Treasury in the Department of Financial Management. I studied for my MBA, minor in Financial Management, at Prasetiya Mulya University, Indonesia in 2007-2009.

I am a member of the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM), British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), and Regional Studies Association (RSA).

Supervisors

Research

His research focuses on public management, especially in ‘agencification’ (i.e. a semi-autonomous model in public sector organisations). This field includes distinctive topics in:

  • Public finance (budgeting, procurement, investment, remuneration, cash management);
  • Organisational study (autonomy and control, performance measurement, human resource management, change management);
  • Government accounting (management accounting, financial reporting, accountability and control system).

Budi's PhD project examines agencification phenomenon in Indonesia by exploring cases variation of financial management practice in the different public service agencies.
