Personal details

I joined the School of Business as a Lecturer in 2018. Before coming to Leicester, I worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Primary Care and at the Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. The latter is also where I studied for my doctorate in Business Management. I hold a masters in Sociology and Anthropology from Tel-Aviv University and a bachelor in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. I have professional experience working for a research institute in Israel specialising in Innovation Policy, where I had the opportunity to extensively engage with top policymakers and influence national schemes.

Administrative responsibilities

  • Early Career Representative

My research sits at the intersections of the anthropology and sociology of science and technology, organisation studies, and critical management studies. In particular, I am intrigued by questions of knowledge-making and their relation to contemporary techniques of management. I draw on debates around actor-network theory, speculative metaphysics and ethnographic method to recast questions of management and organisation. In my previous work I have explored these in the domain of managerialism in the public sector (studying the production of ‘economic evidence’ by policy analysts, and the management and organisation of primary care delivery). As I continue to pursue these topics, I am currently also developing a research agenda into digital creativity and technologically-intensive practices with a specific focus on the gaming industry.

  • Actor-Network Theory and Speculative Metaphysics
  • Organisational Ethnography
  • Non-Representation and Method in Social Science
  • Public Organisation and Managerialism
  • Knowledge-Making and Techniques of Management
  • Digital Creativity and Interactive Media Production

I am keen to supervise PhD students interested in any of the above-mentioned research themes, or adjunct topics. Please do get in touch.
