Personal details

I have previously worked as a Principal Lecturer in HRM at De Montfort University, where I was also the Programme Leader for the part time and corporate CIPD approved Level 7 qualifications. I have managed corporate contracts with JaguarLandrover, Royal Mail, DHL and Ford motors, and won the tender for the NHS Leadership Academy HRM Graduate scheme students. I have a PhD and an MBA (distinction) from the University of Leicester, a Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University. I have previously worked in Management in both Higher Education and Health care, run my own consultancy business and have held clinical roles in acute and community mental health.

Research

My areas of research focus on the issues of self and social identity. My most recent publication considers how self-presentation needs might determine the levels at which people identify within and organisational context. My research is premised on the use of a repertoire of qualitative research methods.
