School of Business Professor gives Inaugural Doctoral Conference Lecture

Professor Mark Stein

Professor Mark Stein, Chair in Leadership and Management at the University of Leicester School of Business, has given the inaugural keynote lecture at the Annual Doctoral Conference for the Tavistock Clinic/University of Essex’s ‘Professional Doctorate in Consultation and the Organization’ programme. Mark's talk was entitled 'Crafting original doctoral theses and journal articles'.

Mark has a long-standing connection with the Tavistock, having studied at the Tavistock Clinic and held a post at the Tavistock Institute some years ago. He has been a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Brunel University. He has held visiting or associate posts at London Business School, Helsinki University of Technology, and INSEAD, Fontainebleau. He is currently an advisor to the Centre for Organizational Psychology, Roskilde University, Denmark.

The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations (TIHR) applies social science to contemporary issues and problems. It was established as a not for profit organisation with charitable purpose in 1947. The Institute is engaged with evaluation and action research, organisational development and change consultancy, executive coaching and professional development, all in service of supporting sustainable change and ongoing learning.
