Dr Phoebe Moore

In October 2020, Dr Phoebe Moore was an invited expert on the All Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence.  At the event Phoebe spoke on the 'UK Economy: AI Tech and Post C19' and wrote for the Parliamentary Brief that has now been published.

In the brief she looks at the growth in this labour market due to demand in the postC19 era argues that the entire AI value chain and producers within it must be considered.  She says in the UK, tech companies are thriving through e-commerce and social media usage, with AI being central to what they are offering. There is a human side to AI with workers having to carry out content moderation for social media platforms and data workers training smart devices.

Phoebe's key point in the brief is that job quality must be central and not simply for AL trainers but beyond.
