Micro Open Online Course: OERs and MOOCs

Man using computer

This is a micro Open Online Course (mOOC) – a small, highly targeted course – which will give you a solid understanding of MOOCs, the Massive Open Online Courses which are rapidly becoming ubiquitous across education. Over four weeks, you will study the state of the art in open educational resources (OER) and learn how to apply that knowledge to your own teaching and more broadly to your organisation. This is a hands on course drawing on current research-based evidence.

Is this course for you?

The course is aimed at academics and senior leaders who are looking for guidance in the correct use of openly licensed resources or want to develop a strategic approach to MOOCs for their own organisation. This course will also be excellent for companies wishing to utilise MOOCs or MOOC principles to develop online training.

How long is the course? 4 weeks

How is it studied? Online

Do you get a qualification? The course is not assessed and will not count towards a qualification.
