Project Title

"Edward Stott: the artist with a 'delicate' touch"

Project Description

I am researching into the life and work of Edward Stott whose career spanned three periods of (art) history - late Victorian, Edwardian and Modern. His career began in the late Victorian period, flourished in the Edwardian period and continued until his death in 1918. Although not a modernist, neither was he a traditionalist, thus making him one of the many artists of the time who sidestep any neat form of artistic labelling.

Publications

I published a book on the Camden Town Group in 2006, which was based on a substantial piece of research whilst at Kingston University.
