MA Commonwealth Scholarships for Distance Learning

Applications now open

The School of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester has two Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships available for the MA Archaeology and Heritage degree. Deadline for applications is 22 March 2019. The scholarships are open to students from eligible Commonwealth countries, and full details are on the website.

“Archaeology is central to the development of cultural heritage,” says Dan Stewart, Director of PGT in the School. “We want to empower people who are often active in and passionate about the management of local heritage in their own communities – especially if they don’t normally have access to the sorts of resources we benefit from here in the UK. We are passionate about the past and passionate about sharing means and methods of protecting and enhancing understanding of the past. By linking heritage management to local community strategies, we believe we’ll give students the tools to meaningfully impact their local communities and agencies.”

Further details of the MA Archaeology and Heritage degree including course details, prospectus, and entry requirements are available here on our website. Full information about the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships can be found here. Best of luck to all applicants!
