'Jumbo: the Life of an Elephant Superstar' wins category at the Canadian Academy Screen Awards

A documentary about the life of Jumbo the elephant has won in the 'Best Biography or Arts Documentary Program or Series' at the Canadian Academy Screen Awards.

The CBC documentary, ‘Jumbo: the Life of an Elephant Superstar’, features the research of Dr. Richard Thomas who led the scientific team to reveal the story of Jumbo by analysing his skeleton.  A companion documentary – narrated by Sir David Attenborough – was also filmed for the BBC (‘Attenborough and the Giant Elephant’) and is currently available to view on for UK residents on BBCiPlayer here. Be quick though! The site currently lists the programme as only available for viewing until Saturday 6 April.
