Differential Scanning Calorimetry

DSC measures the temperatures and heat flows associated with transitions in materials as a function of time and temperature in a controlled atmosphere. The results obtained provide quantitative and qualitative information about physical and chemical properties which include

Our Instruments

  • Mettler-Toledo DSC 1 - liquid or solid samples, temperature range -120 - 350 ºC
  • NETZSCH Pegasus DSC 404 C - solid samples only, temperature range 400 - 1650 oC

High Accuracy Single Pan Calorimetry

This new technique determines the enthalpy change and transition temperatures in a range of materials an order of magniture higher in accuracy than DSC. We house two bespoke instruments that can analyse a range of materials including
