The University of Leicester has been granted a highly trusted license by the Home Office to sponsor international full-time students under Tier 4 of the points based system. As a highly trusted sponsor we have specific monitoring and reporting obligations and these are outlined below in this webpage.

Tier 4 (General) student visas are granted to permit students who are 16 and over and from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to study in the UK, provided they have been offered a place on a course; can speak, read, write and understand English; have enough money to support themselves and pay for the course; and meet the other eligibility requirements.

To retain our license we must fully comply with UKVI monitoring and reporting requirements. Failure to do so will risk our license and therefore our ability to recruit international students.

These web pages outline our compliance requirements for all campus based students – including those on placements.

For queries or to report non-compliance please contact Melissa Goodwin.
