Biography

Dr Moss qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham and remained in the West Midlands region to undertake specialty training in obstetrics and gynaecology. During her training she focused more on gynaecology gaining experience in colposcopy, sexual health, minimial-access surgery before completing subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology. During her clinical training she undertook an MSc in Clinical Oncology and had 3 years for Out Of Programme Research in order to complete a PhD in Life Sciences with Keele University

Dr Moss was appointed as a consultant gynaecologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester in 2012 and since then had established a gynaecological oncology research group focusing particularly on ethnicity and the psychological impact of cancer and cancer screening; robotic surgery; and endometrial cancer. The group now consists of several postgraduate (PhD, MD, MSc) and undergraduate (iBSc, BSc Psychol) students as well as short-term students attachments and O&G trainees undertaking research/audit projects. 

Dr Moss is the East Midlands council member for BMOGS, the regional Obstetrical and Gynaecological society, and the gynaecology lead for MROG, the Midlands Trainees Research Collaborative.
