INFANT FEEDING CAFE

Advice and support for postnatal women feeding their baby

Join us at the University of Leicester's Infant Feeding Cafe, which takes place in the George Davies Centre between 1pm and 3pm.

This initiative launched in October 2019 as part of our contribution to the community and midwifery master’s programme. The UNICEF BFI standards are fundamental to its philosophy of care and to enable student learning in the field of infant feeding and mothering.

We are delighted to have ‘peer supporter ‘ endorsement from the local groups and NHS Trust support through our seconded staff.

The drop in sessions include:

  • Free advice and support from student midwifes, peer supporters and midwifery lectures
  • Chance to exchange ideas with other mothers
  • Friendly and safe space to feed your baby

However you are feeding your baby, if you feel like you would benefit from chatting with experts or other mums, please come along.
