LD3 2019 Autumn Call is now open!

Following our recent MRC Confidence in Concept 2019 award (£450K awarded), we are pleased to

announce the launch of the new LD3 call for translational research proposals.

We are looking to fund exciting projects from all stages of translational research - from Proof of
Concept/ validation, through evaluation (e.g. late pre-clinical work/ pilot studies) and onto early
clinical implementation.

Aligning with recent feedback from the MRC, the priority areas for this autumn call include, but are
not limited to: Diagnostics and Precision Medicine.

LD3 can offer managerial and technical support through experienced staff, translational expertise
and/or consumables funding for up to 12 months for project budgets of £20 – 80k.

Appropriate projects may also be considered for Proof of Concept or LPMI funds.

The submission deadline for this call is Tuesday 5th November 2019 at midnight.

The application form can be downloaded from and should be
completed and returned to with the title “Translational Support Call Application”.

Projects will be assessed based on the quality of the scientific background, the ability to deliver the
project, the likelihood to attract follow-on funding and to engage with a commercial partner.

Early engagement with the LD3 team is strongly encouraged to help develop your application.
