These funds are distributed internally through LD3 Projects Calls - typically two calls are held per academic year with one in the autumn and the other in spring (new call dates to be posted here shortly).

Our current award will be allocated to projects that accelerate the transition from discovery research (basic science) to translational development projects (those leading to patient benefit) which along with matched funding from the College of Life Sciences through project staff support from the LD3 team  provides a translational budget of ~ £1 M for 2019-2021.

Project support can be applied form our 'Open Calls'. There are typically two calls are held per academic year with one in the autumn and the other in spring (new call dates to be posted here shortly). Projects support to the value of £50-£100 K/project are awarded (including LD3 staff support) for projects lasting six to twelve months.
