Supervisors
You will have four supervisors to support you during your fellowship.
If you have an issue with one of your supervisors, please contact the Director of Clinical Academic Training, Professor Matthew Bown (m.bown@le.ac.uk).
NIHR Bursaries
You receive a £1,000 bursary each full year of the programme (max 4 years). To apply for your bursary, please complete the bursary application appropriate form and email it to catenquiries@le.ac.uk or post it to our contact address for the attention of Lesley Clissold for processing:
- NIHR ACF bursary application form (plus ACF bursary guidance)
Once you have received your authorised application form, you are able to claim for your expenses via the University EC1 form.
Reviews and meetings
Induction
A virtual induction session for new north and south academic trainees (FY1, FY2, ACF) is being planned for September 2020
Further details will be sent to you by HEE East Midlands in due course. It is mandatory for all new clinical academic trainees to attend the induction day and you should obtain study leave from your Junior Doctor Administrator if you are programmed to undertake clinical work, in order to facilitate this.

Academic Reviews
Your annual Academic Reviews are usually scheduled during May of each year in advance of your Academic Review in Continuing Practice (ARCP). You will be contacted for your availability and the relevant paperwork nearer the time.
