Providing a comprehensive range of histological techniques. The facility includes a cut-up area, processor/embedder, cryostat and microtomes. Cutting is generally undertaken on standard blocks but megablocks can also be cut. H&E staining is performed on a linear stainer ensuring consistent results as assessed by the NEQAS quality assurance scheme.
