Dishes for live cell imaging

Petri dishes with cover glass bottom or high quality plastic (like cover glass) bottom are often used for live cell imaging. Although you can make them yourselves there are also several companies selling them. As I have received many questions in recent years about this I have made a list of companies I could find, in alphabetical order. Via their website you can find out if there iglass bottom dishess a local distributor in your area. In between brackets I have added the link for the UK supplier, when available. We use mostly Ibidi dishes and occasionally MatTek but many of the companies will be ably to supply you with some free samples so you can test before you buy. If you know other companies supplying these dishes please let me know ( and I can add them to the list.

An alternative for these dishes is a chamber system. In our facilities we also use POC chambers from PECON.

Besides petri dishes with cover glass (like) bottom several of these companies also sell multiwell plates with cover glass (like) bottoms for screening using oil objectives.
