Centre for Environmental Health and Sustainability (CEHS)

*Website Under Development*

Founded in 2018, CEHS is an initiative by the University of Leicester to develop new areas of research that build on existing work in environment, health and sustainability.

Our vision is to improve human health and the health of the environment through cutting edge multidisciplinary research, in a changing world.

The Centre is in a start-up phase, with an official launch planned for 2021. Initial areas of research include air pollution, environmental noise, environmental influences on respiratory disease, the indoor environment and low level chemical exposures.

The research team, based largely in the George Davies Centre, comprises staff from a number of departments at Leicester. Anna Hansell's Professorship in Environmental Epidemiology is generously supported by entrepreneur Bob Woods, MBE.

The Centre is excited and pleased to announce that the that the 14th UK & Ireland Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Society annual meeting will be held remotely on 3-4 June 2021. Registration is via Eventbrite. For more information click here.
