Daniel Hurst (pictured) completed a sky dive and raised £3,000 to support the Ernest and Helen Scott Haematological Research Institute.

Daniel was diagnosed with a lymphoma in 2011, but was placed in remission after a 12 month battle with the condition.

Following his treatment, Daniel visited the laboratories at the University, where research into lymphoma blood cancers is ongoing.

UoL Racing, a team of more than 30 engineering students crowdfunded over £2,000 via crowdfunding to build their own electric Formula 1 racecar, which they entered at the IMech Formula Student competition at Silverstone in 2016.

The team performed well and their electric vehicle was awarded 3rd place among all UK based competitors.

After performing so well in 2016, the team are crowdfunding to allow them to enter the competition again later this year.
