Blog Entry Subject associations respond to surge in demand for home learning support : UK Council for Subject Associations launches directory to support educators
The English Association is pleased to be a member of the Council for Subject Associations (CfSA), which is launching its new directory today. Consisting of detailed descriptions of 25 subject associations and how they support teaching and learning in classrooms, this directory aims to help teachers, governors, and parents find the right subject association to support them. The CfSA is an umbrella organisation, independent of Government, which represents subject associations nationally and allows them to speak with a single voice on key issues and consultations. Subject associations are membership organisations whose members are subject experts. They are independent of Government, are often charities, and their mission is to further teaching and learning in a specific subject in schools, colleges, and universities.
