Victorian Studies Public Lecture

We are delighted to confirm that Professor John Bowen will be coming to the Victorian Studies Centre at Leicester on 20 November to give this year's Victorian Studies Public Lecture. His theme is 'Dickens, "Madness" and Marriage'. The lecture is based on his recent discovery, in previously unseen letters, that Dickens tried to have his wife placed in a mental asylum. The event will take place at around 5.15pm (details TBC). It is free and open to all. Please put this date in your diaries!
