Issue affecting University homepage loading on Google Chrome
If you use the Google Chrome browser, you may find the University website homepage is slow to load. Clear your browser cache if you experience this issue.

Mailman email distribution lists to be retired
Mailman (https://lists.le.ac.uk/) will be retired at the end of February 2020. We are contacting Administrators of Mailman lists to let them know and provide support to move to use alternative solutions, if required.

Default programs have been updated on University PCs
From Monday, 17 February 2020 all University PCs now use Google Chrome as the default web browser, PDF files will open with Adobe Acrobat Reader and if you click on an email, it will open in Outlook 2016.

Before the end of April 2020 there will be some essential changes to eduroam wifi. To continue to use the internet using eduroam wifi after that date, you will need to set up eduroam wifi on personal devices again.

University Remote Access (VPN) maintenance – 25 February 2020 8am - 9am
Maintenance is required which will cause brief disruption to University Remote Access (VPN) on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 between 8.00am and 9.00am. It is expected VPN will be unavailable for up to 45 minutes. You will need to reconnect to VPN after the maintenance.

High Performance Computing maintenance: Unavailable 26-27 February 2020
ALICE and SPECTRE will be unavailable for two days in February: between 8.00am on Wednesday, 26 February 2020 and 6.00pm on Thursday, 27 February 2020 due to essential maintenance. You will not be able to use ALICE and SPECTRE during this time.
