Windows 7 University PC support ends on 10 January 2020
95% of University PCs have been upgraded to Windows 10. You will no longer be able to use a Windows 7 University PC from Friday, 10 January 2020. Ensure you are available for your appointment, if your University PC is scheduled to upgrade to Windows 10.

macOS Catalina upgrade not recommended for University Macs
If you are using a University Mac, we do not recommend upgrading to macOS Catalina, whilst testing takes place. In preparation, you’ll need to consider any older ‘32-bit’ apps you are using, as they will no longer be supported.

HP to continue as University PC supplier
Following a detailed procurement project, which attracted interest from a number of suppliers, IT Services and Procurement have retendered the contract to provide University PCs and Laptops. The successful bidder was DTP partnered with HP and the contract has now been awarded.

Blackboard emails, to reply or not to reply?
You will now receive an email from blackboard@le.ac.uk if a member of staff or student sends you a message using Blackboard. This is in response to student feedback, where confusion arose around receiving emails from BLACKBOARD-NOREPLY@leicester.ac.uk and not knowing whether it was okay to reply.
