How do I get Web training?

If you're new to Plone or just need a refresher then we recommend you get some Web training.

There are three ways of getting training in web related matters:

  1. Taught IT training courses
  2. Guided learning sessions
  3. One to one sessions

Taught IT training courses

IT Services Training team in conjunction with the Staff Development Centre offer a series of courses on website development.

Guided learning sessions

In addition to taught IT training courses, the IT Services training team offer help with specific queries at bookable Guided IT Learning Sessions.  An experienced facilitator will be available to help and assist you with your specific Plone queries.

You and up two or three colleagues can book 1–2 hours with one of our experienced IT trainers, who will help learn more about website development and Plone.  They won’t do the work for you but will guide you and facilitate your learning.

One to one sessions

For help with aspects of website development that aren't covered by the basic training courses e.g. forms, portlets - then there is the option of a one to one session with the Web Team. These sessions are governed by the availability of the Web Team and don't run at specific times each week.
