First Year
You will study the same core modules in Psychology as those students taking BSc Psychology, and you will also take part in skills tutorials and study research techniques. The two modules in Sociology focus on social changes and social problems in modern societies, covering such topics as popular culture, gender, crime and education.
Second Year
You will study the same core modules in Psychology as for BSc Psychology plus two modules in Sociology. In the first semester you can choose between studying Social Class and Inequalities or Classical Social Theory, while in the second semester you can choose an optional module from the list below.
Third Year
In the Final Year both core and option modules are taken in Psychology. These are the same as for Year Three of BSc Psychology except that two as opposed to four psychology options are taken. In Sociology you choose two option modules from the list below. You will also conduct a one-semester directed research project in Psychology.
