Three A-levels including Physics and Mathematics normally required. Typical Offers: From AAB to ABB for MPhys and BSc. AS-level Mathematics or Physics (grade A) accepted for BSc if supported by strength elsewhere.

GCSE

As per University matriculation requirements

Access to HE Diploma

Pass relevant diploma with the requisite credits in Physics and Mathematics at distinction.

European Baccalaureate

Pass with from 80% to 77% overall including Physics and Mathematics.

International Baccalaureate

Pass Diploma, from 34 to 32 points to include Physics and Mathematics.

Cambridge Pre-U

BSc – D3/D3/M2 to D3/M2/M2 in Principal Subjects

BTEC Nationals

Pass Diploma with DDM, plus any subject requirements.

Other Qualifications

Other national and international qualifications welcomed.

A lot of time is spent in the lab, which exercises the practical and social side of physics. It’s a great way of getting to know people on my course. You learn report writing and analytical skills – it teaches you to be a scientist.
