Entry Requirements

MEng with Industry Five years AAB-ABB normally including Mathematics and a physical science
MEng with a year abroad Five years  AAB-ABB normally including Mathematics and a physical science
BEng Three years  BBB normally including Mathematics and a physical science
BEng with Industry Four years  BBB normally including Mathematics and a physical science
BEng with a year abroad Four years  BBB normally including Mathematics and a physical science

A/AS-levels

MEng: AAB/ABB and BEng: BBB. Both requirements to include Mathematics and a science plus a third A-level. Two AS-levels considered in place of one A-level. General Studies accepted.

GCSE

No specific requirements.

Engineering Advanced Diploma

MEng – B in Progression Diploma and B in ASL, BEng – C in Progression Diploma and B in ASL.

BTEC Nationals

MEng: DDD. BEng: DDM.

International Baccalaureate

MEng: Pass Diploma with 34-32 points. BEng: Pass Diploma with 30 points including Maths and Physics.

European Baccalaureate

MEng: Pass with 80-77% overall. BEng: Pass with 75% overall including Maths and Physics.

Cambridge Pre-U

MEng – D3/M1/M2, BEng – M2/M2/M2 in Principal Subjects.

Other qualifications

Other national and international qualifications welcomed.

Access to HE Diploma

Pass relevant diploma with distinction/merit average.

Second Year Entry

Possible for those with advanced qualifications compatible with our degree structure.

Mature students welcomed

Alternative qualifications considered.

Interviews and mathematics assessment tests are sometimes required.

All applicants receiving an offer will normally be invited to visit the Department.

These degrees are not available on a part-time basis.
