Second Year

As for BSc Computing with Management (UCAS Code G4N1).

Third Year

These programmes are sometimes referred to as ‘sandwich degrees’. During your Third Year you may either spend one year studying at a European university, or you may take up a work placement for an industrial or commercial employer. The University of Leicester has partnerships with other European universities with whom we will facilitate your study abroad year; and we have an active Industrial Advisory Board and Departmental Careers Tutor through which work placements are organised.
Following your year in Europe/Industry you will return to the University for your Final Year.

Final Year

All Computing options are open to you, with other topics such as algorithm design; cryptography, where you can learn about the latest methods for encrypting data; communication and concurrency, where you can learn about techniques for designing and understanding concurrent systems; and programming semantics. You will also be able to choose from a wider range of projects, including those requiring more sophisticated AI knowledge, and mathematical techniques in advanced graphics.
