Entry Requirements for American Studies

A/AS-levels

Three A-levels usually required, two AS-levels considered in place of one A-level. General Studies is accepted.

For BA English and American Studies: A-level English grade B required.

GCSE

No specific requirements.

Access to HE Diploma

Pass relevant diploma with some credits at merit.

European Baccalaureate

Pass with 75-77% overall, plus any subject requirements.

International Baccalaureate

Pass Diploma with 30-32 points, plus any subject requirements.

Cambridge Pre-U

D3/M2/M2 or M2/M2/M2 in Principal Subjects.

BTEC Nationals

Pass Diploma with DMM.

Other Qualifications

Other national and international qualifications welcomed.

Mature students welcomed

Alternative qualifications considered.

Second Year Entry

Possible for those with advanced qualifications strictly comparable with our degree structure.

Interviews are not normally required.

All applicants receiving an offer will be invited to visit the Centre.

These degrees are not available on a part-time basis.
