Our courses are accredited by the Geological Society of London and provide an approved pathway towards Chartered Geologist status.

The course is exciting and fulfilling, covering every aspect of geology. The department is an amazing place to study – it’s so friendly, and all the staff are incredibly helpful!

My advice to all you fresh-faced eager prospective students is to really make the most of the first year as you’ll never be in an environment like this one ever again

The department also offers field courses to all undergraduate years. So far I have been to Arran in Scotland, Anglesey in Wales and Spain.

There are also a lot of cultural events in Leicester throughout the year such the Caribbean festival and the Christmas Fair in Clarendon.
|
|
I would describe The University of Leicester as friendly, accessible place suitable for a vast majority of people as it is very diverse in terms of students and courses.
