I chose to study at Leicester because it is world famous in the area of genetics and I was living in Leicester since 2000 and grew up hearing about this. So when I got the grades required, I jumped at the chance of studying here.

I have found the facilities in the department excellent and the practicals are very useful for developing your understanding of the subject. Everything is there for a student to be successful.

At the University of Leicester there is a really vibrant atmosphere and the campus is well structured. The best thing about the university campus is the cafés, parks and sports facilities; not forgetting the library.

I find Leicester a really peaceful city to live in. It really surprised me how people from different ethnic backgrounds live together without any major problems. Leicester now seems like a different city with all of the recent renovations, it is a really good city to live and study in. I would recommend Leicester to anyone.
