About Me

I was born and raised in Tianjin, China. I am currently studying the Mass Communications MA at the University of Leicester. I find it really interesting studying and living here. And I think Leicester as my second home town since this one year experience of living abroad has brought me far more than I could imagine before.

Hobbies and Interests

I like watching television series' during my spare time. It’s a really easy way to practice English. I have been working in subtitle translation and correction to help more English-language-series fans to enjoy them. And now I am doing my dissertation in globalization and films so I hope that someday you might see my name under the title ‘director’.

Advice for Prospective Students

For those who are thinking of studying abroad and especially attempting to study media here in Leicester, my advice would be firstly, it’s really fantastic to study and live here. You will find a lot of students like you so there’s strong sense of belonging and familiarity here. So don't be afraid. And second use the library as much as you can - the library here deserves its reputation.  And the last is to think ahead. One year of master’ degree goes very fast so you might not realise it until it finishes.
