The School of Museum Studies is pleased to offer two £1,000 scholarships for October 2012 entry to any of its four distance learning Masters degree programmes. The scholarships will be paid as a reduction in the course fee and are open to new international (i.e., outside the EU) applicants.

Distance Learning in Museum Studies

The School of Museum Studies' distance learning programmes offer a more flexible way to study at postgraduate level - allowing you to undertake a University of Leicester Masters degree wherever you are based in the world.

Distance learning Masters degrees allow you to develop your career without having to leave employment - meaning you can continue earning as you study and spread the costs of your course. It also means that you can apply new knowledge and insights to your working life while you are still studying, with many students choosing to tackle professional and work-related topics in their course work.

The School of Museum Studies offers four distance learning programmes:

The scholarships are open to suitable international (i.e., outside the EU) applicants only. The scholarships are not open to existing students on these programmes nor on the campus-based versions of these programmes.

The scholarships are for distance learning study only and applicants must be able to commence their studies in October 2012.

Applicants should submit their application for October 2012 entry to the one of these four distance learning Masters programmes together with the required supporting documents (references, evidence of academic attainment, etc.) no later than 31 August 2012.
