The Department of the History of Art and Film and the School of Modern Languages are pleased to offer two bursaries for October 2012 entry to the Masters in Film and Film Cultures programme. The bursaries are each worth £1,000 payable as a reduction in the course fee.

Film and Film Cultures Masters

The MA in Film and Film Cultures enables students to understand the complex relationships between films and the social and cultural contexts in which they were produced and consumed.

You will gain a detailed knowledge of different film styles, film makers, and film cultures including both Hollywood and Europe. Students’ awareness of the key debates and issues within the discipline will be developed throughout the course and you will acquire advanced research skills under the guidance of leading academics to undertake research at doctoral level and beyond.

Entry Requirements

The bursaries are open to suitable UK/EU and international (i.e. outside the EU) applicants.

The bursaries are for full-time study only and applicants must be able to commence their studies in October 2012.
