The School of English is pleased to offer two part-fee bursaries for September 2013 entry to one of its four full-time campus based Masters degree programmes.
The bursaries are open to new international applicants only. The bursaries are worth £2,000 and are payable as a reduction of the course fee. Applicants must be able to commence their studies in September 2013.
Masters Degrees in English
Our MA English courses provide you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge in a wide variety of English language and literature areas. You will develop your skills and knowledge, enabling you to move into a variety of careers or into further postgraduate research.
These bursaries are available for entry to one of the following full-time campus based Masters degree programmes:
- MA in English Studies
- MA in English Language and Linguistics
- MA in Modern Literature (and Creative Writing)
- MA in Victorian Studies
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in English studies or be able to show evidence that they will achieve this before October 2013.

These bursaries are only available to international applicants - i.e., applicants from outside the European Union. These bursaries are for full-time campus based study only and applicants must be able to commence their studies in September 2013.
