Entry requirements
Candidates should normally have a second-class honours degree in Psychology or equivalent, but candidates with other qualifications will also be considered for entry.

Course aims
To provide advanced training in psychological research methods, with an emphasis on equipping students with the research and professional skills required for a research career.

Teaching and assessment methods
All teaching is seminar based, or in one-to-one tutorial sessions, with continuous assessment in the form of essays and short projects and in the development of portfolios of assessed activities. You are required to produce a written paper reviewing research in a topic area, and a dissertation reporting original empirical research. The dissertation is assessed by written report and viva voce examination.
