About these courses
Our history courses offer you a particularly wide range of options to choose from.
Many of our courses are offered via full- or part-time study, enabling you to tailor your study to your other commitments.
Our MA/MSc Urban Conservation is a truly interdisciplinary degree with a strong vocational dimension
Your learning is supported by online tutorials and web resources.
The School is home to two internationally renowned research centres: the Centre for English Local History and the Centre for Urban History. Staff in the School are also heavily involved in three multidisciplinary centres: the Centre for American Studies; the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies; and the Medieval Research Centre.
We have dedicated postgraduate facilities, including audio suites, a map room and specialist libraries.
We are home to the hugely popular and successful New History Lab, a group set up by postgraduates for postgraduates to provide an interactive forum to discuss history and share ideas
