Computer Science MSc with industry
All our Computer Science Masters programmes (except Bioinformatics) are available with an optional industry placement. These 'with industry' degrees have been designed to stimulate your creativity and capacity to innovate, and ensure that you acquire key transferable skills. Our courses allow you to develop into a highly skilled professional, well versed in advanced methods and tools. Colleagues from industry participate directly in the delivery of some of the modules, including hands-on tutorials that allow you to use some of the tools and methodologies that are shaping the software development landscape.
The 'with industry' programmes give you additional industrial experience in applying these skills. They offer you the opportunity to embark on an industrial placement of variable length as part of your degree programme. During the placement, you will be able to gain further insight into industrial problems and practice that you can take forward into your individual project.

Although the responsibility for finding a placement is with you, our Careers Service maintains a pool of exclusive employers who offer placement opportunities and organises special training sessions to help you secure a placement, from job application to the interview. Optional one-to-one consultations are also available.
