About these courses
Research strengths in the Department include Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture, Italian art theory 1400-1800 and British and American Cinema History, British television history, twentieth-century European and American art and architecture.
Over the past several years, the Department has undergone dynamic development, leading to the introduction of a Film Studies strand. This currently comprises two full-time staff and a constellation of staff in film studies across the College of Arts, Humanities and Law.
There are six members of staff; four specialise in History of Art and two in Film Studies. All staff members are actively involved in research and postgraduate supervision.
Our MA Country House course makes use of Lamport Hall and other country houses to enable you to develop your skills within a country house environment.
