Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme
Awards made under this scheme are jointly funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), as part of the United Kingdom International Development programme for developing countries, and participating institutions in the UK. Awards are for one-year, full-time, campus-based, taught, master's study, in the following academic areas only:
- Sustainable Management of Natural Resources MSc
- Environmental Informatics (Geographical Information Systems with Sustainable Management of Natural Resources) MSc
- Global Environmental Change MSc
- Banking & Finance MSc
- Chronic Disease and Immunity MSc
- Infection and Immunity MSc
- Human Rights and Global Ethics MA
- International Relations & World Order MA
- International Education MA
Eligibility and selection criteria:
Candidates are normally expected to hold a BSc or BA degree at either first class or upper second-class level. Candidates are expected to be fluent in written and oral English. Candidates who have already studied for one year or more in a developed country or who possess sufficient resources to self-fund are not eligible for an award.
Eligible Commonwealth Countries for 2015/16 in alphabetical order: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Montserrat, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guineas, Pitcairn, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Samoa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
