University of Leicester Scholarships

From 2012 we will offer four kinds of undergraduate scholarship, ranging from £1,000 to £3,000. You can use this flowchart to work out what you could be entitled to.

Please note that you can only receive one of the first three scholarships.

The Chancellor’s Scholarship

  • £2,000 towards your tuition fee each year - find out about the Chancellor's Scholarship.
  • For students who achieve at least AAA in their three best A-levels or equivalent.
  • Available for all subjects except Medicine.
  • No need to apply.

Departmental Scholarship

  • £1,250 towards your tuition fee each year - find out about the Departmental Scholarship.
  • For students who achieven a certain standard (dependent on subject) in their three best A-levels or equivalent.
  • Available for all subjects except Medicine.
  • No need to apply.

University of Leicester National Scholarship

  • £3,000 scholarship comprising £2,000 towards your tuition fee each year plus £1,000 cash each year to help with living costs - find out about the National scholarship.
  • For students who demonstrate academic ability and potential and whose household income is below £25,000.
  • Available for all subjects.
  • Application details will be sent out after you have received your offer of a place at Leicester.

CULN College Transition Scholarship

  • £1,000 cash to help with living costs, available for your first year only - find out about the CULN College Transition Scholarship.
  • For students from local colleges which are members of the Colleges-University of Leicester Network (CULN) and other key partner schools.
  • No need to apply.
  • This Scholarship is available in addition to one of the other scholarships listed above.
