This year for International Women’s Day we will be recognising the contributions of staff and students to gender equality and need your nominations.

International Women’s Day is on the 8 March 2016, and we will be hosting a special event, ‘Why Gender Equality Matters to Me’ between 12pm and 1.30pm.

As part of this event, we want to reward the contributions to gender equality of two members of staff and two students of different genders.

So if you know of someone who has championed equality at the University, or stood for gender rights, then make sure that you nominate them so they get the recognition that they deserve.

The staff and student recipients will be invited to speak at the event as a pair for 15 minutes, on why gender equality is important to them.
