Security update: Incident on campus Wed 23 November

There was an incident on campus at 5.30pm on Wednesday 23 November.

A G4 security personnel was assaulted and robbed outside the Santander bank in the Students’ Union. Police immediately cordoned off the site as they investigated the incident.

Our security team and the Students’ Union are working with the police, providing information from security cameras and witnesses.

We take your safety very seriously indeed and as a result of this are taking the steps of liaising with the police over increasing security on campus.

Leicestershire Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call 101 and quote crime number 382915. You can find out more about the incident on their website.
